the journey
from the Gold Coast to the West Coast
Growing up in a family of 8 in the heart of the gold coast in West Africa, David started performing in plays at church and leading the kids choir at age 5. His first movie came at age 12 and after graduating top of his class with a BFA in Acting from U.G. School of Performing Arts, he moved to the US to pursue his film-making dream.
David’s love for theater got him into several plays with Shakespeare Miami and Spare Shakespeare playing several major characters. He received stellar reviews for playing the title character, Macbeth, in Shakespeare’s Macbeth at the Miami Theater Center. He then signed with Green Agency and Stella Talent Agency in Miami before moving to Los Angeles in September 2019.
His AutoNation commercial currently running nationally for the second straight year and his 2 episodes for I AM FRANKIE on Nickleodeon are among his most recent TV work.
In renowned independent filmmaker Joe Brewster’s The Killing Zone, David played Young Malcom, the younger version of Isaac de Bankole who married Sonja Michaels in that film.
Now in LA, David is in high gear working to realize his film-making dreams. His end goal is to return to the gold coast to help advance film-making in Ghana.
David lives with his wife, Barbie and daughters, His-Praise and Shekhinah in Long Beach, CA.
